SHUAI is a young artist from China, his artworks respond to the conflict between the personality of the individual and the general rules of society, and establish an exchange between the conflict and art. his work has crossed multiple mediums within art including drawing, printmaking, installation, photography, video.

Printmaking

Printmaking is the process of creating artworks by printing, normally on paper. it can create by a variety of techniques. Common types of matrices include woodcuts, linoleum, etching, lithography, and digital prints.SHUAI prefers to do linocuts and digital print.

Installation Art

Installation art is a relatively new genre of contemporary art, it is an artistic genre of three-dimensional works that often are site-specific and designed to transform the perception of a space. Generally, the term is applied to interior spaces. Shuai has been creating installation art since 2018.

Painting

Painting is an important form in the visual arts, it can be naturalistic and representational, photographic, abstract, narrative, symbolistic, emotive or political in nature, Shuai paints on Eastern philosophy and contemporary art as a conceptual basis.

Drawing is used to express one's creativity and therefore has been prominent in the world of art, it is regarded as the foundation for artistic. Shuai often seeks inspiration through drawing.
